Miles Heller is 28, he lives in Florida and works for a company that is responsible for emptying the homes of the evicted. He takes photos of all the abandoned things, recording the footprints of these scattered lives. He has no ambition and his only luxuries are his books and his digital camera. He would have gone on like this had it not been for a girl, Pilar Sánchez, who is underage. Miles goes back to New York to wait until the young girl turns 18. This is a return to his past and to his secrets, to the community of Sunset Park and his fellow squatters
